EMS Technologies Inc. announced that Francis Erbrick and Bradford Parkinson were elected to the company’s board of directors at the annual meeting of shareholders May 19. Erbrick and Parkinson join the six directors who had previously been serving, and who were also re-elected to additional one-year terms.

Erbrick has worked since 1997 as a consultant with the business technology office of McKinsey & Co. For the previous 12 years, Erbrick was chief information officer and a member of the management committee of United Parcel Service.

Parkinson holds the title of Professor Emeritus at Stanford University, where he has full-time research and student advisory responsibilities. Until 2001, Parkinson was Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford, where he directed NASA’s Gravity Probe-B spacecraft development project. Since 1984, he has been a member of the board of directors of Trimble Navigation Ltd., and from 1998 to 1999, he served as the company’s president and CEO.
