Lockheed Martin named Richard Ambrose to be lead executive of a newly formed Surveillance and Navigation Systems line of business within its Space Systems Co. Ambrose will serve as vice present and be responsible for overseeing Lockheed Martin’s work on programs such Space Based Infrared System, GPS, as well as the company’s pursuit of next- generation systems, including GPS 3, Space Radar and Space Superiority opportunities.

Ambrose joined Lockheed Martin in 2004 and has served as vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems & Sensors’ Tactical Systems line of business since January 2004. He previously served in Space Systems as vice president and deputy program manager for SBIRS.
