Michel Davoudian, CEO of Ouranos Networks, is confident the operator can make satellite broadband a success in Europe. Ouranos, which acquired the assets of the defunct Aramiska, will implement a different marketing strategy and will target new markets in Eastern Europe.

“The first major challenge, which is top priority, is reconnecting customers,” Ouranos said. “We are an organization made by industrial people, not investors. … We are here with real commercial plans for the future. This is the first priority. Our second priority is to make our distributors understand that they are not only plugging something, they are giving a real service.”

An exclusive interview with Michel Davoudian can be found in the Feb. 27 issue of Satellite News. For more information about subscribing to Access Intelligence’s satellite newsletters, check out our Web site at https://www.satellitetoday.com
