EMS Technologies Inc. said it intends to restructure its participation in its satellite networks business. In the coming months, EMS will consider a variety of potential approaches, including joint ventures with industrial or capital partners, or other options that would maximize value to EMS shareholders. EMS SatNet is a manufacturer of DVB-RCS- compliant hubs and terminals for the satellite communications market.

“Satellite Networks has made tremendous progress during the two years that we have recognized it as a separate division,” EMS President and CEO Alfred Hansen said in a prepared statement. “We believe that DVB-RCS technology is destined for a phase of rapid market expansion. We will be seeking business arrangements and structures that will be appropriate for this next phase, and that will both maximize value for EMS shareholders and best position SatNet for growth in this dynamic market.”
