KVH Industries Inc. said Robert Balog joined the company and will serve as its vice president of engineering for satellite products. He comes to KVH from Automation Services Inc., where he served as president of the engineering contract services company. Prior to that, Balog served as vice president of engineering at ADE Corp., where he was responsible for overseeing all engineering activities.

“We are extremely pleases that Bob Balog has joined KVH, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in new product development, research program management and strategic planning,” KVH President and CEO Martin Kits van Heyningen said in a prepared statement. “Bob’s arrival is a significant step in our process of organizing our engineering departments into focused teams for our defense and satellite products. The new alignment will help us better focus on our core technologies as we continue to grow and pursue a number of exciting new opportunities.”
