QuetzSat SRL de CV said it has received a concession for the Ku-band broadcast satellite services frequencies at 77 degrees West from the Mexican government. QuetzSat is a Mexican partnership that includes Grupo Medcom, SES Americom, Ricardo Rios Ferrer and Luis Martinez Arguello.

“With the concession, QuetzSat will be able to offer competitive television delivery systems to direct-to-home service providers, which will result in a greater choice for television households both in Mexico and internationally,” QuetzSat Chairman Clemente Serna said in a prepared statement.
