According to a note on Aljazeera.com, the Qatari government is considering privatizing the Al Jazeera satellite television network and has been in discussions for the past 15 months on the subject. A company official said in the report that an unnamed consultancy has been hired to conduct a feasibility study for the privatization efforts.
