ViaSat said it has shipped more than 30,000 LinkStar bandwidth-on-demand satellite terminals, passing the milestone during the recently completed second quarter of fiscal 2005. Quarterly shipments of LinkStar terminals have doubled since last year and are growing at a rate of more than 15 percent per quarter.

ViaSat attributes the success LinkStar is having to the product’s versatility in offering a suite of applications from low speed, quick turnaround retail transactions to broadband multimedia applications.
