Glowlink said that Intelsat will be using the Glowlink Model 1000 spectrum monitoring system for the Intelsat Teleport Monitoring Systems program. The Model 1000 is a DSP-based spectrum monitoring system that Glowlink says is ideal for monitoring satellites, either from a central operations center or multiple operations centers. Its network-centric design allows it to be readily incorporated into a monitoring network that is both flexible and scalable and can be expanded without disruption to ongoing network operations.

“The powerful and flexible monitoring capabilities of the Glowlink Model 1000 will enable Intelsat to easily and accurately assess the quality of their traffic signals, as well as the performance of their satellite and ground equipment,” said Jeffrey Chu Glowlink, president and CEO.
