EchoStar To Offer Unique Election Coverage

      EchoStar Communications Corp. [DISH], operators of the DISH Network direct-to-home satellite television service, will be offering its subscribers free of charge a unique way to follow coverage of the U.S. presidential election. Between Oct. 25 and Nov. 5, viewers can go to a channel that will have six televisions showing simultaneously on one screen with the ability to go to a single station and watch its coverage at any point in time. The six stations include CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, CSPAN, MTV and Comedy Central. According to EchoStar, this is the first use of interactive TV multiple picture-in-picture technology.
