NDS CFO Ready For Inmarsat Challenge

By Staff Writer | August 2, 2004

Rick Medlock is leaving his CFO job at NDS to fill the same spot at mobile satellite operator Inmarsat. Medlock has been the CFO of NDS for the last eight years, and he will leave that company at the end of September.

NDS, which is one the leading Conditional Access (CA) vendors globally, also announced its full-year financial results today. Overall, revenues were $402 million at the end of June, compared with $432.5 million during the same period a year ago. According to NDS, this revenue shortfall is wholly accounted for by the decrease in revenues from DirecTV; excluding DirecTV and the acquisition of the MediaHighway business, underlying revenues had increased by 19 percent.
