New Skies Satellites N.V. [NSK] shareholders approved the sale of the company to The Blackstone Group, aprivate investment firm,for $956 million in cash. According to a statement released by the company, 92.4 percent of the shares in attendance at a meeting in The Hague, Netherlands, voted to approve the sale. New Skies only needed a simple majority of those attending the extraordinary general shareholders meeting, held today, to approve the sale; no actual attendance numbers were released.
