Wendy’s Taps Spacenet For Broadband Satellite Network

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. [GILTF] today said its Spacenet Inc. subsidiary was selected by WendCentral Corp. to provide a Connexstar broadband satellite network to at least 250 Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburger restaurants. The Connexstar VSAT high-speed network will support a range of retail network applications, including fast credit authorization, a PCanywhere remote control solution, the Clearview back-office service management application and point-of-sale polling. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
