The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) set a deadline of Aug. 11 for interested parties to submit comments regarding a June 25 petition seeking permission to transfer control of non-common- carrier fixed satellite service earth station licenses held by New Skies Networks Inc. to Murnao Holding B.V. The transfer of licensees follows the June 5 announcement that Murano and its parent, Neptune Holdings GP, agreed to acquire substantially all of the assets of New Skies. Other deadlines set for this proceeding include an Aug. 23 date for oppositions or responses to the comments filed on this petition and Aug. 30 for replies.
