GlobeCast launched a new satellite-distribution platform for new digital cable television networks in North America. The service will use C-band transponder capacity on PanAmSat‘s Galaxy 10R satellite — part of the Galaxy cable neighborhood of satellites. Channels can access GlobeCast’s new Galaxy 10R platform in America via local points- of-presence in New York City, Washington D.C., and Miami or worldwide via the company’s global fiber network interconnecting 15 teleports and technical operations centers on five continents.
