Officials from Comtech EF Data Corp., a subsidiary of Comtech Telecommunications Corp. [CMTL], today said the company received a $4 million order for satellite-communications equipment. The agreement calls for the purchase of $2 million in equipment per year for a two-year period, and it includes equipment ranging from digital- and IP-centric satellite modems to frequency-up-and-down converters and transceivers. Comtech did not name the customer making the purchase, but described it as a “leading global satellite service provider.”
