XM Satellite Radio [XMSR] said Panasonic will produce XM-ready car stereos for the nation’s trucking fleets. Panasonic will produce two kinds of XM-ready AM/FM stereos: one equipped with a CD player and one equipped with a cassette deck. The units will be compatible with the XM Direct tuner box, and Pana Pacific Corp. will distribute them to truck dealers in July.
