NDS Completes Foxtel System Integration

NDS said it successfully completed the first phase of systems integration for Foxtel Digital in Australia. Foxtel launched its new digital TV service — Foxtel Digital — March 14, and it has more than 130 digital channels and services.
NDS is the prime systems integrator for Foxtel Digital. The digital launch includes ambitious plans to upgrade set-top boxes currently deployed by Foxtel. The rebirthing of the legacy set-top boxes to upgrade to NDS VideoGuard conditional access will enable existing Foxtel subscribers to enjoy the new digital offering without replacement of the set-top boxes. NDS is providing numerous services, including conditional access and an Electronic Program Guide as well as interactive TV services and games to Foxtel.
