Harris Wins DigitalGlobe Contract

Harris [HRS], a Colorado Springs, Colo.-based satellite communications company, signed a contract to support DigitalGlobe‘s satellite control system upgrade-and-expansion program. Harris will provide the satellite command and control system for DigitalGlobe’s satellite QuickBird and for its new WorldView Satellite. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Harris also announced the release of its new version OS/Comet product suite to provide Telemetry Tracking and Command services. The new version of OC/Comet provides satellite operators with a choice of operating systems and hardware platforms when building or upgrading control centers.
