Longmont, Colo.-based DigitalGlobe, an Earth imagery satellite company, released details today about plans for its next-generation imaging satellite, WorldView. Set for launch by 2006, the commercial imaging satellite is expected to provide enhanced agility, accuracy and collection capacity. Once launched, the WorldView satellite would be the only 0.5-meter resolution commercial imaging satellite capable of offering 50-centimeter panchromatic resolution and 2.0-meter multispectral resolution, company officials said.
