Mayflower Awarded $10.4M Contract To Develop Navy GPS System

      Mayflower Communications, a Burlington, Mass.-based developer of GPS and communication data link technologies, has been awarded a small business innovation research Phase III contract totaling $10.4 million from the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC). Under the contract, Mayflower will develop modules to support the deployment of the U.S. Navy Guidance Integrated Fuze (GIF) system, which will integrate GPS-based guidance, navigation and control functions (GN&C) into a NATO standard fuze envelope.
