Sprint [NYSE: FON] and EchoStar Communications [Nasdaq: DISH] have signed a marketing and sales agreement to provide DISH Network satellite TV service to households served by Sprint’s local telephone division. The relationship formalizes a joint effort in place since late last year, allowing Sprint to offer customers digital television programming as part of a portfolio of communications services, including local, long distance, wireless, DSL and video. Within 90 days, Sprint and EchoStar expect to offer a bundle of services with one bill and one point of contact for the customer.
