Geospatial engineering company I-cubed has developed a satellite image mosaic of the Middle East for use by the media covering the Iraq conflict. The mosaic includes Bahrain, Iraq, Israel/the West Bank, Jordan, Kuwait and Syria, and portions of Egypt, the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

The natural-color image mosaic provides an overview of geography, terrain and man-made features in the Middle East and can provide a visual backdrop for print and television media. Fort Collins, Colo.-based i-cubed created the mosaic by fusing 30-meter natural-color and 15-meter panchromatic Landsat 7 imagery. The resulting mosaic displays 15-meter natural-color imagery.
