Arnaud Lagardere has been named co-chairman of European aerospace giant EADS. He will replace Jean-Luc Lagardere, who died on March 14. French holding company Sogeade (which includes French high-tech firm Lagardere and the French state) holds 30 percent of EADS stock.

EADS’ other chairman is Manfred Bischoff, who was appointed by DaimlerChrysler [NYSE: DCX], which also holds about 30 percent of EADS. The two CEOs of EADS are Philippe Camus and Rainer Hertrich.

EADS is the world’s second largest aerospace and defense company, with nearly $30 billion in total annual revenues and $6 billion in defense revenues.
