New Skies Still Bullish On 2003
New Skies Satellites [NYSE: NSK] admitted that it is not likely to meet forecasts of double-digit revenue growth this year. The Netherlands-based satellite operator still expects a strong year, despite the struggling world economy, said CFO Andrew Browne.
Browne told SATELLITE TODAY: “I think most industry analysts are forecasting growth rates from anywhere from 2 to 3 per cent in the [fixed satellite service] sector in 2003. If you compare that with the guidance we are giving, which is 6 to 11 per cent, I think that is pretty significant.”
An in-depth interview with Browne can be found in the Feb. 26 edition of Interspace. For information about Interspace and other PBI Media products, check out our Web site at https://www.satellitetoday.com.
