Jeffrey Crosby has joined Conexant Systems [Nasdaq: CNXT] as vice president of marketing for set-top box (STB) products. Conexant supplies chipsets used in STBs for satellite TV and other uses.

Crosby previously was senior vice president of satellite TV provider DirecTV, joining the Hughes Electronics [NYSE: GMH] unit in 1993 after working at Hughes Space and Communications.
