ISS Missions Underway

      An unmanned Russian supply Progress rocket blasted off Aug. 6 to link up to the International Space Station.

      Progress was carrying fuel, technical equipment, food and water for the space station that will house the first crew later this fall. A team lead by astronaut William Shepherd and Russian cosmonauts Yury Gidzenko and Sergei Krikalyov will arrive at their new home Oct. 30.

      In addition to the latest Russian resupply mission, two more space flights and one more supply mission will occur between now and late October.
