According to the agreement, VMD will nationally distribute Globalstar’s suite of duplex and Spot products via their dealer channel to defense, government, maritime, oil and gas, transportation, tourism and mining sectors throughout the Tunisian and Algerian mainland territories.

Globalstar aims to complete its second-generation satellite launches in early February 2013 by launching six additional low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites, designed to last for fifteen years. The goal of Globalstar’s second-generation satellite constellation is to support its current line-up of voice, duplex and simplex M2M data products and services.
