[Satellite TODAY 04-25-11] Com Dev International has won a deal to deliver hardware for a commercial satellite providing satellite TV and communications coverage over the Americas, the company announced April 23. Com Dev will provide Ku-band passive microwave equipment for a total contract value exceeding $5 million.

      Work on the contract will be carried out at Com Dev’s facility in Cambridge, Ontario, with completion expected by March of next year. “This contract is an example of a longstanding customer placing an order that includes certain equipment they hadn’t bought from us in the past, based on the excellent performance we can offer,” Com Dev International Products President, Mike Williams, said in a statement.
