[Satellite TODAY 02-03-12] Norsat has appointed Ivan Gissing as the new general manager of its Sinclair division effective Feb. 6, the company announced.

   The Canadian satellite company said that its current Sinclair General Manager Calven Iwata would work closely with Gissing and leave the company by March 15 to pursue other opportunities.

   Gissing previously served as General Manager of Stored Energy Solutions, a manufacturer of high integrity battery systems for mission critical applications, as well as with Sterling Batteries and Varta Batteries.
