[Satellite TODAY 01-10-12] Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) has appointed former SES Senior Vice President of Global Sales Scott Sprague as its new COO, the regional operator announced Jan. 9.           

   Sprague, who recently resigned from SES, will be responsible for managing ABS’ global sales, marketing and operations of value-added services.

   Before his time at SES, Sprague held various senior management positions with companies such as KPNQwest and Infonet Service Corp. He also served as general manager for AT&T, where he oversaw functional activities, sales and revenues.
