[Satellite TODAY 11-03-11] Satellite teleport service provider SatLink Communications is augmenting its presence in Africa by launching a new Multi-Channel-Per-Carrier (MCPC) platform on Spacecom’s Amos-5 satellite, SatLink announced Nov. 2.
The company will use Amos-5’s Pan-African C-beam to provide the platform to international and local African broadcasters. The platform will have a Tier 1 broadcast neighborhood including leading European, American and Asian channels. SatLink also said it is offering a full complement of playout services to clients utilizing the MCPC platform.
