[Satellite TODAY 08-15-11] Satellite hardware manufacturer Probecom has released a new 11.3-meter Cassegrain antenna supporting transmit- and receive-only applications in C- and Ku-band frequencies, the company announced Aug. 12.

   The antenna features a reflector design that incorporates precision-formed panels, truss radials and hub assembly, as well as a Cassegrain feed and subreflector design to produce high-gain/low-noise temperature, high antenna efficiency and microwave interference rejection.

   “This antenna adopts all aluminum re-enforced reflectors to ensure the ease of installation. The standard designed azimuth-over-elevation pedestal provides a cost-effective solution for high stiffness and stability, full orbital arc coverage and fine drive performance, and ensures the pointing accuracy for C-band and Ku-band operations,” Probecom said in a company statement.
