[Satellite TODAY 03-10-11] Satellite service provider SpeedCast signed a multi-year agreement with SES World Skies for 35 MHz of additional capacity on the NSS-6, NSS-7 and NSS-12 satellites, SpeedCast announced March 9.
    The deal will see SpeedCast expand its capacity on the NSS-6 South East Asia beam and acquire new capacity on the NSS-6 Middle East, NSS-7 South American and NSS-12 East Africa beams as part of the service provider’s global maritime network expansion plans.
    SpeedCast said the SES capacity was needed to address growing demand from its maritime customers and to continue the company’s expansion into the Middle East, African and South American regions.
