RAI will bring content to the demo channel for free-to-air broadcast from Astra’s 23.5 degrees East orbital position.
“We are very pleased to have entered into this cooperation with RAI which significantly enhances the variety of 3-D programming offered via our demo channel. Following the first 3-D television sets now available in the market, we are confident that our 3-D demo channel will significantly help retailers, installers, the manufacturing industry and our customers to promote 3-D television and bring this exciting new technology to the end-consumers,” SES Astra Vice President and Managing Director Markus Fritz said in a statement.
