[Satellite TODAY 10-30-09] Paradise Datacom released a line of indoor rack-mount block converters, the manufacturer announced Oct. 29.
The converters are configurable to accommodate C-, X- and Ku-band RF modules. The product’s 19-inch chassis design allows RF modules to be removed and replaced from the rear panel without the need to interrupt chassis power.
The new product line includes up-converters, which can translate an L-band input signal anywhere within the range of 950-2050 MHz to a C-, X- or Ku-band output frequency depending on which module is installed, while Paradise Datacom’s new down-converters can translate a C-, X- or Ku-band input signal to an output frequency in the same range.
The converter architecture is based on Paradise Datacom’s zBUC L-band RF converter module used throughout the company’s line of solid-state power amplifiers.
