[Satellite TODAY 09-23-09] Vitec Group, a U.K.-based provider of products and services for the broadcast, imaging and live event industries, named Jerry Gepner CEO of Vitec’s services division, the company announced Sept. 21.
Gepner, an Emmy Award winner and holder of 11 U.S. television and virtual imaging patents, joined Vitec in 2005, previously serving as interim president for Bexel, a broadcast equipment provider in the United States.
Gepner also was cofounder and COO of Sportvision, the technology company that created the “virtual first down line” for American football telecasts.
