[Satellite TODAY 09-15-09] Thuraya anticipates sales of its Thuraya XT satellites phones to go beyond its initial forecast by the end of 2009, the company announced Sept. 14.
    Thuraya launched the XT units, which comply with P54/IK03 standards, in August. The company said the product release was met with positive reviews and heavy demand.
    The new device also generated great commercial interest from the company’s key service providers, who placed market orders quickly after the phone was made available, according to Thuraya.
