[Satellite TODAY 08-14-09]  Atrexx is targeting businesses in the Caribbean and South America with new IP satellite services, the company announced Aug. 13.
The German satellite service provider has introduced Single Channel per Carrier (SCPC) satellite services on the 2way2sat platform in the regions. The service will be provided via the Intelsat 903 satellite positioned at 34.5 degrees West featuring a C-Band beam over the entire region.
The Atrexx 2way2sat SCPC solution enables the provision of ubiquitous IP-based voice, data and video services to businesses at almost any location worldwide. Atrexx said it sees the move as an ideal solution for a continent such as South America and the Caribbean, where critical infrastructure is often difficult or expensive to rollout to rural or more remote areas.
