[Satellite Today 07-22-09] Briese Schiffahrt, a German shipping operator, has installed Inmarsat’s FleetBroadband 150 (FB150) service, Inmarsat announced July 20.
Briese Schiffahrt is the first shipping company in Europe to use the service. The shipping company will use the voice and broadband data service on Saxum, its coastal vessel.
Inmarsat said it anticipates that Briese will become the first company in the world to retrofit FB150 across its fleet.
