[Satellite Today 07-03-09] Orbit Technology Group signed an agreement with Furuno Sweden and Furuno Denmark to provide on-location customer service and technical support for Orbit’s Advanced Service Center (ASC) system in Sweden and Denmark, Orbit announced July 2. 

Orbit, which specializes in supplying mobile satellite communications antennas, said the move is designed to boost the company’s prospects in Scandinavia.

“This agreement grew out of our close working ties with Furuno. To date, we have shipped scores of OrSat systems to Furuno. Furuno’s resulting vote of confidence is a proof of Orbit’s continued success in its efforts to expand the ASC globally. This means that we can ensure, this time in Scandinavia, rapid on-location service and customer support to match the performance excellence for which our products are known,” Avi Cohen, CEO of Orbit, said in a statement.
