[Satellite Today 05-14-09] Satellite provider Speedcast, has awarded a contract to Sidsa, an international digital technology provider based in Spain, to protect its digital content in Asia and the Middle East, Sidsa announced May 13.
    Speedcast’s satellite platform will initially use Sidsa’s technology to protect its content delivered to a large number of wireless operators. In a second phase, the company plans to extend the platform to other type of users, such as shipping companies.
   “It’s a key factor for us to have full control of all the content that we up-link to the satellite. Sidsa approached us with a highly reliable and friendly-user solution. The flexibility of the company to customize the platform, as well as an attractive price, made it our easy solution,” said Pierre Jean Beylier, CEO of Speedcast, in a statement.
