[Satellite Today 05-13-09] German teleport and satellite service provider CETel, acquired the managed services division of ND SatCom for an undisclosed amount and signed cooperative agreements with ND SatCom for product utilization and operation, CETel announced April 12.
    The acquisition, which became official on April 1, gives CETel new responsibilities to operate additional SkyWAN and SkyARCS networks. The company said that migration of all involved services and personnel will be finished by end of May.
    CETel and ND SatCom have been working together on several projects in the Middle East and Africa since CETel’s foundation in 2004.
    “We are very happy about this acquisition and broader cooperation as this strengthens our portfolio, particularly for integrated end-to-end solutions. At the same time, we are extending our core business with additional important services and state-of-the-art technologies,” said Martin Terlunen, managing director of CETel, in a statement.
