[Satellite Today 04-23-09] Thuraya signed a deal with Advanced Communications Solutions (ACS) to distribute its ThurayaIP and ThurayaMarine solutions within the Greek and Cypriot maritime sector, Thuraya announced April 22.
The deal focuses on markets involving merchant shipping, private yachts, passenger ships, pleasure craft, military, police, government and offshore crew calling communities.
“Greece has long been seen as home to the world’s maritime sector, and represents a significant potential customer base for Thuraya’s voice and data communications solutions,” said Sven Rohte, Thuraya’s CCO, in a statement.
