[Satellite Today 04-16-09] Noordzee Helikopters Vlaanderen (NHV) selected Blue Sky Network to supply satellite tracking and communication solutions for use aboard work and transport helicopters, Blue Sky announced April 15.
Blue Sky will provide its D1000A tracking unit to NHV, with daily operations ranging from offshore hoisting and deck landings to medical transport. The D1000A device tracks NHV’s helicopter flight paths using the Iridium satellite network and a built-in GPS sensor.
Blue Sky also will provide NHV with its SkyRouter, which provides location reporting for online asset monitoring.
