[Satellite Today 04-14-09] Galaxy Broadband Communications (GBC) has selected Encore Networks’ Bandit line of industrial routers for GBC’s satellite networks, systems and solutions throughout Canada, GBC announced April 13.
    This partnership allows GBC customers to create end-to-end virtual private networks across both satellite and terrestrial networks.
    “GBC has defined and overcome the challenges of providing converged, satellite-based communications to even the most remote resources-based enterprises such as utility sub-stations and oil rigs. The Bandit is instrumental in Galaxy’s ability to deliver bundled broadband VSAT solutions in Canada,” Matt Girard, Encore senior director of market development, said in a statement.
