[Satellite Today 02-11-09] Avanti Communications has received an unsolicited approach for the company, it said Feb. 10. The European based satellite operator, which is getting set to launch its high-powered HylasOne satellite later this year, made the statement after movement in its share price.
The company confirmed in a statement that it had received “an unsolicited preliminary approach regarding a possible offer for the company”, but that it had “rejected this approach”, saying it had “excellent prospects” as an independent group.
