[Satellite Today 01-27-09] Universal Switching released a new switching architecture, critical application system, to provide linking for both satellite and communication applications, the company announced Jan. 23.
The unit features a built-in dual Ethernet, GPIB and serial ports with LXI support, swappable cabling, control CPUs, modules and remote ports and optional independent channel programmable gain.
Separetly, Universal Switching has joined the LXI technology consortium to develop a standard for new LAN controlled test products and plans to introduce LXI products by the second quarter.
