[Satellite Today – 5-15-08] Hughes Communications Inc. is offering more than 2 million shares of its common stock in a public offering, the company announced May 13.
The offering will consist of an aggregate of 2.2 million shares, 2 million of which are being offered by Hughes and 239,600 shares offered by certain stockholders, including members of senior management. Hughes has also granted an option to the underwriters to purchase up to an additional 335,940 shares.
Hughes intends to use the net proceeds for the acquisition of a satellite or general corporate purposes.
