Spacehab Subsidiary Wins $1.3 Million NASA Contract

      Officials from Spacehab Inc. [SPAB] said the company’s Astrotech Space Operations subsidiary was awarded a $1.3 million contract from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)/Kennedy Space Center to provide payload processing facilities and support for the Calipso/CloudSat mission.

      Scheduled for an April 2005 launch, the Calipso and CloudSat satellites are part of the Earth Science Enterprise program, whose mission is to study Earth’s environment and to provide combined, detailed observations about the Earth’s condition to assist scientists with making predictions related to global climate changes.
